My blessing to all of our Parents and Caregivers as we approach another Summer of Church Ministry and Family activity. I encourage you early to plan how Jesus will not be left out of your lives and busy schedules.

At Second Baptist, we want to invite your students to be with us throughout the Summer in the Learning Center and the Church. Our Teachers are working on their Summer Plans and some have passed some exciting things along to me about what they are desiring to do. We do have some very creative leaders, and I know your children do not want to miss some exciting things which will go on. In the ministry of the Church, the first week in June will be our Summer Vacation Bible School. This exciting time will begin on Sunday night at 6 pm June 2nd and conclude of Thursday night June 6th.

Make plans for your kids to enjoy this special time with us. There will also be one week of Day Camp in which our church leaders with Bro. Bob Livingston will work with our School Age children with some exciting activity. We will give more details on this ASAP.

As you can see, we plan a very active Summer with JESUS being right in the center of all we do. Join us it could make an eternal difference in your life.

Spring Time! Getting ready for next year's registration

Good Morning! It is  a beautiful day and God has been so good to us here at the center.We have had a busy year. The children are learning many wonderful things. Our family here at the center has grown this past year and we are so thankful for these precious little ones and their families. We have 150 children enrolled and are having a blast. It's amazing to get to witness each day the changes that take place in the infant rooms, from hair growing or falling out, to little ones rolling over or taking that first step. It's a pleasure and joy each day to walk into a classroom and have a child run up to me, hug my legs and say, " Mrs. Ann, Mrs. Ann...". My heart is overwhelmed by God's goodness! Through these precious children, He created, I get to witness His handiwork each day.

The Daycare and Preschools are going strong! All classes are full and the children are learning new things everyday. I was sitting in Ms. Mary's 3 year old classroom yesterday and was amazed at these little children. They were doing letter recognition and sign language for each letter. That is such a beautiful language and it's so precious to see the children learning it. The boys and girls were also recognizing shapes and how many sides each shape had...we are already laying down the basics to geometry...My heart is often over whelmed by the day to day activities of the center.

We are getting ready for next year's registration! In house registration will take place the month of April. Then in May registration will be open to the public.

Also, our Pre-K 3 and 4's will begin preparing for their End of the Year Program and Graduation. This event is always a blessing and enjoyment to watch. Please mark your calendars for May 18th @ 6:00 p.m. We would love for you to come out and witness these amazing children and what they have learned through the year.

On a closer note, March is upon us. Yes, Spring will be here before you know it. Don't forget to turn your clocks up an hour Saturday night, March 9. Remember you spring forward an hour.

Easter this year comes on March 31; therefore, the center will be closed on Friday, March 29, in observance of Good Friday.
